Who I Am...

My name is Shayli, or Shay, pick your poison. I was born and raised just outside of Los Angeles, California. I realized that performing was my future  when I got in trouble at school for the first time at four years old for singing “I Love This Bar,” to my classmates. This love for singing led me into an adolescence that was shaped by musical theatre which then led me to pursue a degree in Drama at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. While at NYU, I found my love for the intimacy of film acting. Within film I have found myself playing roles that are not just in my wheelhouse, but in my blood. Being raised in a family of strong Latina women, I am drawn to the stories that allow me to access both the highs and lows of the woman I am today.

• I am a lifelong kickboxer. 

• I have a deep love for R&B and hip hop. 

• I have a sneaker addiction. 

• I was a Disney Princess at kids parties. 

• My family is everything to me (My dog included)
